Does the AI set my prices?
No. You set your service menu and prices once — the AI only recommends from your list and drafts a range. You approve every estimate before it's sent.
Photos hide swirls, pet hair, and stains. Where does the price come from?
From your service menu. The AI looks at the photos, recommends services from your list, and judges the vehicle's size and condition; the range is your own prices for those services, scaled for size and condition. It's a range rather than one number because photos can't show everything — anything they can't show is flagged 'verify on-site', and every estimate says the final price is confirmed on-site. You approve or edit every number before it's sent. New accounts start with a national-average starter menu, so put in your own prices before your first real quote.
Do my customers need to download anything?
No. They get a link by text that opens in their browser — the estimate and an Accept button. Once they accept, you turn it into an invoice with one tap, and they pay it by card from a link the same way.
Do you take a cut of my customers' payments?
No. Card payments run through your own Stripe account and go straight to your bank. Only Stripe's standard card-processing fee applies — the same rate as any card reader. ShineQuote makes money on the subscription, nothing else.
When do I actually get the money?
Stripe deposits card payments to your bank account. Your first payout takes 7–14 days while Stripe verifies your new account — every payment platform does this — then it's about 2 business days ongoing. Cash, Zelle, and Venmo you keep instantly; the app just records them.
What does it cost?
Your first 10 estimates are free, no card required. After that it's $29/mo — and the first 50 detailers get $15/mo, held for as long as the subscription stays active. Paid plans are available to US businesses for now; free estimates work anywhere.
